HIGH SPEED SPRING ADAPTER

High speed spring contact adapter can be design in different ways. It is better to choose first the right spring contact design:
Requested frequency per contact.
Single or double ended.
With or without flange.
Minimum height & travel.
With or without barrel (open).
Plunger shape & other specifications.
ADR also offer the “S-Parameters” information for most the spring contacts (Db/Frequency graph).
The carrier/socket material is also an important issue. When non-conductive material is used, grounding pins should be placed around the high speed contact, to eliminate crosstalk problems. Another option is to use a metal carrier and, to protect each spring contact with a non-conductive material. The most popular material for carrier/socket is PEEK. This thermoplastic material have a lot of advantages, includes wide temperature range.
